A proud moment for Green Team Interiors. Our florist, Tracey, won a Gold Medal at Chelsea Flower Show.
This year’s brief was to create a never-ending circle that symbolised the Chelsea Flower Show. Tracey’s stunning design depicted the melting pot of horticulture that is Chelsea; with many flowers and influences from all around the world. The circle had two layers, made up from hundreds of pieces of dogwood that formed the base for the heads of several different colours and varieties of orchids. These included button green Chrysanthemum heads, mini succulents and tendrils capped with berries. The stunning design took several days to create.
This is a special medal for Tracey – her first Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal, to go with her previous Silver and Silver-Gilt Medals. Tracey said “I’m absolutely thrilled, I was aiming high and so delighted to get my Gold Medal – Hooray!”
With this being the centenary year of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, it is an extra special year to win Gold in ‘The Chelsea Florist of the Year Competition’. Only two Gold Medals were awarded to the Florists.
